Neurodivergence is a broad, non-medical umbrella term that means someone’s brain or nervous system functions differently from the majority other people’s. 

Not wrong; not defectively; differently.

It is estimated that at least 20% — one fifth! — of the US population fall within the Neurodivergence umbrella.  The CNDLC program equips candidates to serve as advocates, educators, champions, resources, librarians, researchers, cheerleaders, and trusted confidantes for people who may have difficulty navigating a world and work force geared toward the neurotypical majority.

Since the original identification of autism spectrum disorder and ADHD diagnoses, professionals in the health and education fields believed many people “grew out of” these and other neurodivergent conditions. But they don’t.  And with more than half of the neurdivergent population either unemployed or underemployed, a trained expert in this field, corporations, schools, government agencies and organizations, there is a vast potential workforce that is untapped.   Remember:  Silicon Valley was largely created by a group of neurodivergents!

A CNDLC can serve as a translator, educator, advocate, and facilitator between Neurodivergent individuals and organizations that need their talents, skills, and expertise.

Coaching is largely an entrepreneurial endeavor, where the coach builds their own practice, but there are many corporations, organizations, schools and businesses that employ coaches for a variety of goals, from creating a healthier corporate community to improving the health of its employees.  the Coaching profession is growing by an astonishingly consistent 20% each year.

Potential entrepreneurial/self-directed career paths for a certified Neurodivergence life coach

1. Private Practice: Many life coaches establish their own private practice, where they work one-on-one with clients to help them achieve their goals and improve their lives.
