Chakras, Our Energy Source

CharkasBlogNWA

For so long, energy work has been taboo in Western cultures. Some religious leaders have created fear and mysticism around metaphysics, and nowadays, a swath of society believes that even talking about these topics is the “work of the devil”. However, in recent times, traditional medicine has given rational proof that energy is the main ingredient that holds our entire body together.

The first chapter of the Netflix documentary “Human, the World Within”, showcases our nervous system and explains how our neurons communicate via electric pulses. There is no physical connection between them because their main form of communication is electricity, or, in other words, energy. The correlation between our brain waves and how our body operates is undeniable; the flow of energy is what connects our Physical Body, Mind, and Spirit.

We capture energy from multiple sources that surround us

How does our body get all that energy required to function properly? The Eastern cultures believe that we capture this energy from everything around us, and from everything we create within; we have the power of creation inside ourselves. This power rises from energy points located all over our body, called Chakras, a Sanskrit word that means “Wheels of Life”. The purpose of the 114 Chakras in our bodies and throughout our multidimensional layers, is to distribute the Spirit Power, or energy, throughout our physical and energetic bodies.02ChakrasBlogNWA

There are seven (7) main Chakras located and distributed along our spinal cord. They are perceived as funnels projecting outwards in a circular motion, receiving the vital elements required for our well-being. When this energy flow works properly, we live a healthy and balanced life. However, if there is an energy block, their movement is disrupted, creating health and/or emotional issues, because energy is not flowing properly.

Our first chakra is called Root or Base Chakra; it is located at the bottom of our coccyx and is connected to our adrenal glands; it is associated with our basic survival and safety needs; it is our connection to Mother Earth.

The second chakra is called the Sacral Chakra; it is located about two (2) inches below the navel, where our reproductive organs are; it is connected to our gonad glands and is associated with our sexuality and enjoyment of life.

The third chakra, called Solar Plexus, is about two (2) inches above the navel and is tied to our pancreas; it represents our power center associated with our self-esteem, self-confidence, and identity.

The fourth chakra is called the Heart Chakra; it is in the center of our chest, where our heart and lungs are; it is connected to the thymus, and it is said to be the bridge between our lower and upper chakras; it is associated with universal love, peace, hope, trust, and intimacy.

The fifth chakra is our Throat Chakra, located between our collarbone and larynx, ruling our thyroid gland; it allows us to manifest our dreams, creativity, communication, and faith.03ChakrasBlogNWA

The sixth chakra is our Third-Eye or Brow Chakra, found behind the eyes, in the center of the head, providing the energy to our pituitary gland; it is associated with truth, reason, intelligence, intuition, and understanding.

The seventh chakra is called the Crown Chakra, located toward the back of the head, where all parts of the skull meet, it is connected to our pineal gland; it is said to be our connection to the Divine and the Higher Mind; it is associated with our spiritual awareness, selflessness, wisdom, and extended consciousness.04ChakrasBlogNWA

Working with our chakras

Our upbringing plays a key role in how our chakras function throughout our life. Fears, insecurities, and faulty childhood programming determine our daily behaviors. All the negativity we have accumulated creates blockages in how the energy flows through our Chakra system, developing imbalances in our bodies. When this happens, we must go inward and evaluate how our thoughts and beliefs have compromised our chakra system. Once acknowledged and evaluated, we can work with different techniques to bring the system back to a state of well-being. These healing modalities include deep meditation, visualization, Reiki energy, sound waves, crystal cleansing, and pendulum vibration.05CharkasBlogNWA

It is important to consider that none of these techniques will work if the “main energy source” is not at peace. WE need to watch our thoughts and be willing to adjust our daily behavior so our wheels of life work in our favor. We are linked beings who need to vibrate at a healthy frequency to maximize our well-being and achieve our potential. All starts and ends with us.
