Following that initial cohort, we have enrolled and graduated numerous students representing over 30 nations, grown our course offerings, expanded our faculty, and gained named recognition with various leading holistic health communities. Our school has been featured in Reader’s Digest, Yahoo, HuffPost, eHow, In-Style, Thrive, Tampa Bay Wellness, Herb, Mercola, Glowell, Daytime  TV, Bloom TV, and more! Simon Egerton

Simon Egerton

Mentor and Co-Creator, Neurodivergence Life Coaching Hypno-Coaching

About Me

Simon is based in London in the UK.  In his own words:

Hello. I am a late (very late!) diagnosed AuDHDer (Autistic and ADHD combined) life coach and holistic therapist. After nearly twenty years working with holistic therapies and coaching, I was seeking more knowledge as a parent… only to discover, totally unexpectedly, my own neurodivergent mind. And suddenly, so much made sense; the choices, the repeated patterns and behaviours, hidden emotions and struggles… all the way back to school… even parenting and the family dynamics. I was assessed and diagnosed, and began coming to terms with a completely new (and slightly bewildering) sense of self and awareness… and with it, I found a new passion, a new ‘special interest’… the neurodivergent mind! So I refocused my coaching… hyper focused in fact… added a ton of new training and ever ongoing research… Before any of this… I had a master’s degree in music and a life wearing many hats navigating the high seas of the music and theatre industries. Until a mystery illness, undiagnosed at the time, left me struggling to control speech and mobility and I was in a wheelchair for three years. Finding no answers at the time within conventional medicine, but encouraged by an enlightened consultant psychologist, it was this experience that took me along a path exploring and studying holistic therapies; homeopathy (with Dr Yubraj Sharma), craniosacral therapy (with Franklyn Sills), hypnotherapy (with Dr Keith Hearne), coaching (with Jamie Smart), spiritual life coaching, and (ongoing) studies in IFS (with Richard Schwartz). It was many years later I understood that what I had experienced was profound autistic burnout. It has gifted me riches unimagined. I have found craniosacral therapy invaluable, and hugely beneficial with this newer self discovery… its orientation to the inner body, the energetic being, to stillness and to calming the nervous system. My experience and practice of this work continues to underpin much of my life and this has only deepened since realising a neurodivergent perspective on the world. Work focus now is predominantly supporting late diagnosed (or late realised) neurodivergent adults as well as continuing work as a craniosacral therapist (which includes regular clinics at an NHS hospice for people with life limiting conditions). Other work is now predominantly online, but I am based in central London for in-person sessions. I am so grateful to NWA’s inspired lead in creating this wonderful course, and looking forward to supporting  their vision as a part of its ongoing development.

Sherry Asuncion

Sherry Asuncion

Mentor, Meditation and Mindfulness

About Me

Sherry Asuncion is the founder of Resilient Health.  She has a Bachelors of Science in Psychology from San Francisco State and is also certified as a Health and Life Coach, Gut Health Specialist, Cannabis Coach, and in Essential Hypnotherapy Skills.  Outside of her business, she is also a part time Meditation Teacher, Reiki Practitioner II and Executive Program Coordinator and Mentor for the Natural Wellness Academy.

After six years of silently suffering and going through about a dozen doctors, Sherry’s healing journey started in 2013 with her diagnosis of Hashimoto’s, an autoimmune thyroid disease. What really catapulted her to begin her spiritual journey to find a true balance of mind, body and spirit, however, was her painful journey of ending a 17 year marriage.  It was then that she realized that in order to be truly healthy, one must be healthy as a whole and not in just one area.

Inspired by these two major life events and the difficulties she overcame, Sherry has dedicated her life to being a role model for her two children (both of whom share the same paths of autoimmune diagnoses) while serving as an educator and healer in providing knowledge, emotional and energetic healing to others.

Sherry truly believes that everyone has the capability of healing themselves and finding the light in the journeys they are all taking, as long as one is willing to put in the work and follow the path to self love.

Jo Norton

Jo Norton

Mentor, Nature Therapy and Spiritual Wellness

About Me

Coming from a boring background of economics, marketing and management, in 2006, Jo moved from city-life in the UK to rural France to embark upon a life-transforming spiritual journey that would turn her life completely upside down and inside out.

In her quest for joy and inner peace, Nature became her greatest teacher. “When I’m not out communing with nature or trekking some ancient pilgrim path to further my own spiritual enlightenment, I devote my time to those beautiful souls glad for a helping hand to inspire and support them on their quest for healing and transformation. While not everyone has to contend with living through a dark night of the soul, everyone’s soul is searching for spiritual growth to some degree or another. When you have hope in your heart, anything is possible… including three Caminos  We are all infinite beings and transformation is our destiny.”

Since 2006, Jo has gradually retrained as a nature therapy guide, past life regressionist, hypnotherapist, meditation and mindfulness instructor, and spiritual wellness coach. She offers guided walking (including Camino training!), nature therapy and writing retreats, breathwork, mindfulness and meditation retreats in the south of France.

Dr. Lisa Clow

Dr. Lisa Clow

Mentor, Spiritual Wellness

About Me

Dr. Lisa Clow, Ph.D., Spiritual Wellness Specialist, certified Mindfulness/Meditation and Yoga Instructor, Lisa is a National Board Certified Health and Well-Being Coach. She published her research on yoga as a women’s population health intervention. She practices ancient Tibetan Yoga, which focuses on the mind and breath, not the asanas or the poses that modern yoga has embraced. While the movement is essential to our well-being, it’s not the magical factor in how yoga “works”. Dr. Clow is writing her book, “I Can’t Do Yoga – If You’ve Ever Said It You Need To Read This Book.” She also produces The Dr. Lisa Clow Podcast. She shares life’s journey with people like you, finding purpose, happiness, and ways to thrive in our new world.

In 2015, she bought six chicks and built a pen out of PVC and chicken wire on 1/4 acre. She fell in love with the farm life and the connection to her food. Since then, she retired from a 30 yr. career teaching health and Physical Education and bought a small farm. Her mission is to grow food without pesticides or chemicals in harmony with the earth’s cycles. She practices the principles of permaculture and biodynamic farming. We continue to be life-long learners of how to live in abundance.

Dr. Clow has developed school-based community health interventions, promoting mental health and well-being solutions for students, teachers, and administrators. She’s presented her findings at regional and national academic conventions, such as the SHAPE Maryland, the National SHAPE conference, and the American Public Health Association. Dr. Clow has served as a teaching assistant for Walden University, and she also served as an online/hybrid adjunct professor in the Health Sciences Department for the College of Southern Maryland.

Dr. Clow is the founder and CEO of Awake Yoga and Integrative Health Coaching, an organization dedicated to reducing burnout prevalence among teachers and other workers in public service. A firm believer in giving back and reducing health inequities, she developed and implemented a community outreach program where she taught free yoga classes to underserved populations. She also served as the Director of YogaMedCo’s Genius Break Project, a mindful movement and activity program for K 12 classrooms.

By only following the teachings of her guides, (which included daily meditations, visualization practices, energy movement, and proper nutrition) and refusing other forms of treatments such as medication and surgery, she successfully healed herself from cancer and received a clean bill of health.

She has dedicated her life since to sharing these life changing techniques with others. She is passionate about teaching and counseling others on how to become their best selves by tapping into their spirit guides and following their own inner guidance.

Juliane Nowe

Juliane Nowe

Lead Mentor, Cannabis Coaching, Spiritual Wellness

About Me

When I was a child I lost the ability to speak. As I struggled to regain the sound of my voice I also grappled with long lists of other symptoms. Years of doctor’s appointments and western medicine could never provide answers or resolution. Often overwhelmed with thoughts of helplessness, I spent years desperate for healing, eager to live a life that felt fulfilled and to live the width of my days, rather than just the length of the time that I had.

In the search to reclaim my health, I discovered treatments including Reiki, yoga, and Chinese medicine. By shifting my focus, leaning into these modalities of natural healing, and quieting the noise of being unwell I found myself feeling more healthy. The strength that I gained helped me to listen to a deeper truth inside myself that I could trust that my body knew how to be well.
Through this journey, I regained the literal sound of my own voice again. I knew that I needed to dedicate my life to sharing my voice, and my truth, with men, women, and their families, to help them to listen to their own knowing voices.
I am a certified Health and Life Coach, Reiki Master, Yoga Teacher, Cannabis Coach, Spiritual Wellness Specialist, Sacred Journey Facilitator, and thankfully, a mentor with the Natural Wellness Academy!
