Adding a Webinar to the Webinars Library
We already discussed how to upload a video. Recall that the preferred method is hosting it as unlisted on YouTube. Refer back to the previous lesson for a discussion of the rationale and for instructions on uploading to YouTube. Note that the video in the previous lesson also walks through creating a video topic in LearnDash, which we will explore again here.  Note that while this page will use the term “Topic”, the same process applies to Lessons exactly — just substitute “Lesson” anywhere “Topic” is encountered. Recall that the LearnDash course hierarchy is as follows: Course > Lesson > Topic. We are specifically adding a video to the Webinars Library on this page, but the process would work for any course.
1. Create a New Topic
- Option 1: in the admin area, go to LearnDash LMS > Topics, then click the “Add New” button at the top of the page
- Option 2: in the black bar at the top of the page, hover over “+New” and click “Topic” in the dropdown list
2. Fill out the Topic Details
- Enter the webinar name in the title box at the top of the page
- Enter an optional description in the body box
- Scroll down to LearnDash Topic Settings
- In Associated Course, in the dropdown, select Webinars Library.
- If you wanted to use a different course (for example, adding a webinar to the Coaching course, just select another course here).
- In Associated Lesson, in the dropdown, select the correct category (e.g. Body Webinars).
- In Associated Course, in the dropdown, select Webinars Library.
- Check box for “Enable Video Progression“
- In the Video URL box, paste the YouTube URL/link to the video
- Click the “Publish” (or “Update”) blue button in the upper right
